Formed in 1845 from the division of the Synod of South Carolina and Georgia, Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. (formed in 1813); withdrew to the Presbyterian Church in the Confederate States of America in 1861; continued in the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. after 1865; dissolved 1973.
The Synod of South Carolina was formed in 1845 from the division of the Synod of South Carolina and Georgia, PCUSA. It withdrew to the PCCSA in 1861 and continued in the PCUS after 1865; dissolved, 1973.
