Biographical History
Wormser (1894-1981) worked as an independent mining engineer from 1925-1947 before becoming an executive with St. Joseph Lead Company from 1947-1953. From 1953-1957 he was Assistant Secretary of the Department of the Interior for mineral resources. Wormser returned to St. Joseph Lead Company in 1957 and after 1961 was an independent mining engineer.
Felix E. Wormser was born in Caliafornia on October 31, 1894. He was a mining engineer, who joined St. Joseph's Lead Company in 1947 and became its vice president one year later. In 1953, Dwight D. Eisenhower appointed him Assistant Secretary for Mineral Resources, a position he held until 1957. He died in Greenwich, Connecticut in June 1981.
