Biographical History
Cotton ginning specialist and engineer. Born in 1911, in Farmersville, Texas.
Began his career as General Manager for Southern Gin Company in Terrell, Texas, from 1932-43. Became the cotton ginning specialist for the Federal Extension Service of the United States Department of Agriculture in 1943. In addition to serving as head of educational programs on cotton harvesting and ginning, Pendleton was promoted to cotton ginning engineer in 1962. Consultant to all state land grant colleges and universities on cotton educational programs. Member of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Epsilon Sigma Phi, Highland Park Masonic Lodge, Dallas Scottish Rite Bodies, Park Cities Baptist Church. Author or co-author of over 60 papers and articles on scientific methods of the harvesting and ginning of cotton.
