Biographical History

G. Albert Lansburgh (1876-1969), educated at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts, began a practice with architect Bernard J. Joseph in San Francisco in 1906, immediately after the earthquake. He established his own practice in 1908, and at the height of his career ran offices out of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Lansburgh was most famous for his opulent theaters, many of which were originally designed for vaudeville.

From the description of G. Albert Lansburgh collection, 1891-1939. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 83753322
