Biographical History

The Italian artist Umberto Brunelleschi was a painter, illustrator, sculptor and portraitist. In the early 20th century he settled in Paris, and became a fashionable portrait painter. He was mainly successful as an illustrator for numerous publications. His works include Goethe's " Werther," Alfred de Musset's "La nuit vénitienne," Diderot's "Les bijoux indiscrets," and Andersen's fairy tales.
