Biographical History
Bob Henry Baber, a poet and novelist, holds a B.A. in English from Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, and a doctorate in creative writing from the Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was raised on Long Island, New York, and on his grandparents' farm outside of Richwood, in Nicholas County, West Virginia. Baber's poetry has appeared in the Antioch/Appalachia publication What's a Nice Hillbilly Like You...?, and in works published by the Southern Appalachian Writer's Cooperative (SAWC), a group Baber helped to found circa 1976-1977. Baber's published works include A Picture from Life's Other Side: Appalachian Poems, 1994; Assorted Life Savers & Poems from the Mountains, 1976; and the chapbooks, Ice Cycle Soup, 1986, and In the Time of Nick, 1988.
