Arnold Norman Krogstad (b. Aug. 28, 1885, Lanesboro, Minnesota-d. 1982), Brigadier General in the U.S. Air Force, graduated from West Point in 1909 and completed aviation training in 1917 after serving with the 22nd Infantry. He went to France in 1918 for a short tour, returning to the U.S. to serve as a member of the Air Service Coast Defense Board (Atlantic Coast), as commander of the Aviation General Supply Depot, and as Air Officer, Second Corps Area. During the 1920s and 1930s, General Krogstad held a number of key positions in Hawaii and on mainland U.S.A. In the early years of World War II, he was in command of several Air Force Technical Training Commands. He retired in August 1944.
