Biographical History
Thomas Brayshaw was born in Yorkshire, England and moved to Canada in the early 1900s. He was a well-known sport fisherman and devoted most of his adult life to catching, studying and drawing of fish. He also illustrated several of Roderick Haig-Brown's books. Brayshaw achieved recognition for his wooden fish carvings. He spent his retirement in Hope, B.C. after growing fruit in the Okanagan between the wars.
