Fanny Bowditch Katz, 1874-1967, was the daughter of the physiologist Henry Pickering Bowditch. Katz underwent psychoanalysis with Carl Jung in Zurich from 1911 to 1916.

From the description of Papers, 1901-1934. (Harvard University). WorldCat record id: 281436911

In the autumn of 1912, Miss Fanny Bowditch, 1874-1967, daughter of the eminent physiologist, Henry Pickering Bowditch, was sent to Switzerland by Dr. James Jackson Putnam of Boston to undergo psychoanalysis by Dr. Carl Gustav Jung in Zürich. Miss Bowditch had previously suffered some sort of breakdown after her father's death in the winter of 1911. Immediately upon her arrival in Zürich, and following the commencement of her analysis by Dr. Jung, Miss Bowditch wrote to Dr. Putnam regarding her treatment, and a long correspondence followed. About 1916, Miss Bowditch broke off her analysis and two years later married a Dr. Katz of Amsterdam.
