George Jones Kollock (1810-1894) was the son of Dr. Lemuel Kollock and Maria (Campbell) Kollock, daughter of Macartan Campbell. He practiced law in Savannah from 1832-1836, then moved to Woodlands near Clarkesville, in Habersham County, Georgia, keeping overseers on his plantations.
George Kollock Jones, a lawyer and planter, was born in Savannah, Georgia, 20 April 1810 and died 19 February 1894. The son of Dr. Lemuel and Maria Campbell Kollock, he married Priscilla Augusta Johnston, daughter of Colonel James and Ann Maria Houston Johnston and sister to the wife of George's brother, Phineas Miller Kollock. George and Priscilla had one child, Augusta Johnston Kollock. George Kollock's second marriage was to Susan Marion Johnston in 1840. Their children were George Jones, John Fenwick, William Waring, Susan Marion, Mary Fenwick, Annie Houstoun and Louisa Belle. Kollock had coastal plantations of Retreat & Rose Dhu but the family lived at Woodlands, Clarksville, Habersham County, Georgia, with Kollock frequently traveling back and forth from Clarkesville to the coast.
