Biographical History

Fannie Lee Leverette, journalist and educator, was born in 1870, in Eatonton, Georgia, and died there 21 June 1956. She attended Wesleyan College (Macon, Georgia); taught in Eatonton (1904-1914), Social Circle (ca. 1915-ca. 1924), and Thomson (ca. 1925-ca. 1940), Georgia; and worked as assistant editor of the Eatonton MESSENGER and as a correpsondent for the Macon TELEGRAPH, the Atlanta JOURNAL, the Savannah MORNING NEWS, and the Augusta CHRONICLE.
