Biographical History

Thomas Hogan Jackson (1872-1970) was born in Culloden, Ga., to Wilkins Warren Jackson, Sr., and Sarah Ann Thomas Jackson. He graduated from Atlanta Business University in 1894 and pursued a career in banking. In 1904 he moved to Albertville, Ala., and founded the Bank of Albertville (later the Albertville National Bank). Two years later, he founded the Merchants Bank of Boaz, which became the National Bank of Boaz, and founded the Bank of Arab in 1907. He served as chairman of the board of the Albertville National Bank until well into his nineties. In 1907 he married Mozelle McNulty Harris (1882-1961) of Macon, Ga., the daughter of Edward G. Harris, Sr., and Mary (Springer) Harris. E. G. Harris was the president of Planters' Oil, Guano, and Ice Company of Macon. Hogan and Mozelle Jackson had four children: Wilkins Warren, Mary Harris, Clara, and T. Hogan, Jr.
