Alpha Psi State (Maine) of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is an honorary society of women educators. It was founded in Augusta, Maine on June 19, 1943. On October 26, 1944, the first annual meeting of Alpha Psi State was held during the Maine Teachers Association Convention in Lewiston.
