American Pathologist.
Paul Eston Lacy received his medical degree (1948) and M. Sc. in Anatomy (1948) from Ohio State University and his Ph.D. in pathology from the Mayo Foundation of the University of Minnesota (1955). He joined the faculty of Washington University School of Medicine in 1956, serving as: instructor, assistant, and associate Professor, 1955-1961; assistant dean, 1959-1961; Edward Mallinckrodt Professor and chairman of the Pathology department, 1961-1985; Robert Kroc professor of Pathology, 1985-1995; emeritus professor of Pathology, 1995-2005. He was also pathologist-in-chief of Barnes and Allied Hospitals and the St. Louis Children's Hospital Hospital, 1961-1985.
