Biographical History
William Bryan Wilson (1914-1993) was born in Henry County, Ga.. His family moved to Atlanta in 1923 where he remained for the rest of his life. He graduated from Technological High School in 1932 and went on to study Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech while working at night for the Associated Press. Wilson worked for the Atlanta Constitution from 1937-1942, and then volunteered for the Navy during World War II and worked as a photographer. Following the war, Wilson returned to Atlanta where he worked for the Atlanta Journal until he retired in 1979. In 1953, Wilson won several national awards for a photograph he took of the family of Korean War Prisoner of War, J.P. Love upon his return to the United States.
