Biographical History

Arthur Watson was a contemporary of the Antarctic explorer Apsley Cherry-Garrard. During the latter's time in the Antarctic ads a member of the British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-1913 (leader Robert Falcon Scott) Watson remained in contact by letter. In the autumn of 1911 he wrote to Cherry-Garrard regarding his return to India. Watson was to go to Alipore, Calcutta to resume his position as a judge.
