Biographical History

Joseph Norris (1699-1733), the oldest son of Isaac Norris (1671-1735), died in Philadelphia following a short illness. The obituary in the Pennsylvania Gazette (1733, Oct. 18) described him as "a man of considerable learning yet most facetious and agreeable companion."
