BIOGHIST REQUIRED William L. Barton (1909-1999) was a graduate of Columba's School of General Studies (BS, 1934), a NYC bank executive of a NYC thrift institution (East River Savings Bank, now Century 21), and an officer of some state and national banking associations (AIB of ABA and NAMSB). Prior to becoming a banker, Barton worked in government administration and served as a ieutenant commander in the Navy during World War II. Barton was active in some NYC and NYS civic associations. He also served a couple of terms on Governor Nelson Rockefeller's NY State Management Advisory Committee.
