Norristown Monthly Meeting was established in 1936 by Abington Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) out of Norristown Preparative Meeting at the dissolution of the first Gwynedd Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). It became a united meeting in 1953 by affiliation with the two Abington Quarterly Meetings. Norristown is currently an active monthly meeting.
