Biographical History

The Illinois Home Economics Association was founded in 1921 as a state affiliate to the American Home Economics Association. In 1994, both groups changed their names: the national organization became the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and the state organization became the Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
