Arthur Leroy Carson (b. 1895); Presbyterian agricultural missionary to China; later President of Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines.
Arthur Leroy Carson was appointed as an agricultural missionary to Canton, China by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Board of Foreign Missions in 1921. In 1923 he was transferred to Weihsien in the province of Shantung, where he remained until 1926. He was appointed Director of the Rural Institute at Cheeloo University in Tsinan in 1931. In 1939 he was appointed President of Silliman University in the Philippines, a position he held until 1953.
Arthur L. Carson (1895- ) was a graduate of Cornell University and president of Silliman University in the Philippines from 1939 to 1953. He was also the first president of Trinity College of Quezon City (later Trinity University of Asia).
