Biographical History

Jesse Jennett was a Louisiana poet. Francis Asbury (1745-1816) was a founder of American Methodism. A Methodist minister under John Wesley in England, he traveled to America in 1771 as a missionary and was elected bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1784.
