Biographical History

James Wilkie was a Solicitor and antiquary in Leven, Fife. His publications included The Benedictine monasteries of Northern Fife in history and tradition (Edinburgh, 1927), The blessed isle: some notes on the story of Iona (Aberdeen, 1913), Bygone Fife, north of the Lomonds, (Edinburgh, 1938), Historic Musselburgh (Edinburgh, 1919), Saint Bride: the greatest woman of the Celtic church (Edinburgh, 1913).
