Biographical History
The Union Church was organized in Worcester, Mass., in 1836; combined with Salem Street Congregational Church in 1896; merged with Plymouth and Piedmont churches in 1936 and was renamed Chestnut Street Congregational Church. Central Church was dedicated Oct. 1885. This merged with Chestnut Street Congregational Church in 1982 and name was changed to United Congregational Church.
