Biographical History

Robert Thomas Cunningham Humphreys (1905-1965) was the National Affairs Editor of Newsweek Magazine from 1944 to 1949. He served as Director of Public Relations for the Republican Congressional Committee from 1949 to 1952, the as Director of Public Relations of the Republican National Committee from 1952 to 1954. He was the staff director of the National Cultural Center from 1960 to 1961, and a staff consultant to the Joint Senate-House Republican Leadership from 1961 to 1965.
