Biographical History
The company was incorporated in 1901 to build a railway line in southern British Columbia from Michel south to the international boundary, via Fernie and Elko. Its 75 miles of line were built by the Great Northern, which controlled the company's capital stock. Its lines, which had been operating at a loss, were sold as real estate to the Washington and Great Northern Townsite Company (another GN subsidiary) in 1926. The company was formally dissolved in 1960.
