Biographical History

Searles (1925-1981) was an actress, producer, and writer. She was a drama editor and television personality in Schenectady, New York, before going to New York City in 1954 to pursue an acting career. She moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960s and worked at Wolper Productions and later at NBC as a production assistant. Searles worked on documentary films for several years and was a staff writer for the television soap, "Days of Our Lives." She was manager of program preparation for NBC Entertainment at the time of her death. Searles was married to Charles N. Hill (1923-1971), with whom she participated in various business ventures and writing projects.
