Judith J. Wright (circa 1950) is a teacher, elementary music specialist, and musicologist.

Wright received her BA from Duke University of North Carolina. While there, she won academic scholarships and was selected for inclusion in "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities." She has attained both an MA degree from University of Hawaii-Manoa, and a PhD from Brigham Young University in musicology.

Wright's career includes several years as an elementary music specialist, and as a part-time faculty member at Brigham Young University. She is currently retired, but continues to teach private lessons in piano and organ.

In 1981, Wright heard Marilyn Horne perform for the first time in a recital given at Brigham Young University. Wright was so captivated by Horne's performance and kindness that she developed an immediate love of her voice, and holds a fond respect of Horne as a person and performer.
