Biographical History
B'nai B'rith's Oregon Lodge, Number 65, was founded in Portland in 1866, and, as such, was the oldest B'nai B'rith Lodge in Portland. In 1905, it consolidated with Theodore Herzl Lodge, Number 314. In 1918-1919, it consolidated again, this time with Portland Lodge, Number 416. The new, consolidated lodge became known as Portland Lodge, Number 65. Portland Lodge No. 65 was formed in 1919 by the consolidation and various mergers of five earlier B'nai B'rith lodges: Oregon Lodge, North Pacific, Portland Lodge No. 416, Sabato Morais, and Theodore Herzl; exact historical chronology unavailable.
