Accomplished Palestinian agronomist, ardent Zionist, and organizer of an intelligence gathering apparatus for the British during World War I.
Aaron Aaronsohn (1876-1919) was a Zionist leader who was with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and later founded the Jewish Agricultural Experimental Station in Haifa. He was killed in Palestine in 1919 while in British government service.
