Biographical History

The Liturgical Conference was founded in 1940 as the Benedictine Liturgical Conference. The Benedictines formally incorporated the organization in 1944. As the Conference grew it changed its name to The Liturgical Conference to reflect the increased interest of all Catholics and Protestant denominations. The Conference is best known for its sponsorship of National Liturgical Weeks and for its publications, including Liturgy, Homily service, and Living worship.
