Ogden Hoffman (1793-1856) was a Goshen and New York City attorney who also held various public offices. Ambrose S. Murray (1807-1885) was a Goshen banker, railroad investor and Congressional representative. Samuel S. Seward (1768-1849) was a physician, judge, and financier; his son William Henry Seward was Secretary of State under President Lincoln. William Wickham (1732-1814) was a Goshen and New York City attorney; his son George D. Wickham (1772-1845) was a Goshen banker. James W. Wilkin (1762-1845) was a Goshen attorney and office holder. Henry G. Wisner (1777-1842) was a Goshen attorney.
