Biographical History

No biographical information on J. Van Buren is available. Cornelius R. Hanleiter (1815-1897) was born in Savannah, Georgia, the son of John Jacob Hanleiter and Elizabeth MacFarland. He was a printer, telegraph operator, and publisher in Atlanta. He also served on the Atlanta City Council and as Justice of the Inferior Court of Fulton County. He was married twice: first in 1834 to Mary Ann Ford, and again in 1849 to Ann Eliz Shaw. In all he had 14 fourteen children.
