Biographical History
Carrie Arnold was born near Greeley, Colorado in 1944, and she died of cancer in 1998. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and then moved to Denver in 1965. She founded a successful petroleum map business, which she sold in 1972. She and her husband owned and ran the Fort Restaurant.
She was a Western History and Colorado railroad buff, serving on the board of the Denver Public Library. She was a vice president of the Denver HO Model Railroad Club, and she served on the Colorado Railroad Museum Board.
She started painting portraits when she was in high school. Later, she became a pen and ink illustrator for a number of Western books and cookbooks.
