Biographical History
Born in Vladisvostok in 1907, he came to the U.S. in 1920. Prof. Maslenikov joined the Slavic Dept. in 1942 and remained for 30 years, serving as Dept. chairman from 1944-1952 and 1966-1967, and as Acting Director of the Institute of Slavic Studies for periods from 1953 to 1957.
