Parish, James Robert

James Robert Parish was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the New York Bar Association. He has written 85 books on the entertainment industry and is a frequent contributor to the arts section of many major national newspapers and entertainment trade papers. He is also series editor for many publishers of performing arts books. A former reporter for Variety and Motion Picture Daily, he is an entertainment publicist and also the founder of both Entertainment Copyright Research Company, Inc. and JRP Media, Inc. He is an active member of many entertainment, publishing, marketing, and indexing organizations.
