Florida Blue Key (Fraternity)

Florida Blue Key was founded at the University of Florida in 1923 shortly before that year's homecoming celebration. It was conceived as a student leadership fraternity with an emphasis on service to the university and its constituencies. In 1924, Florida Blue Key was placed in charge of homecoming events and has organized every homecoming since then. Florida Blue Key is not affiliated with the national Blue Key fraternity.

Florida Blue Key is a student service organization at the University of Florida. Founded in 1924 by Bert C. Riley, Dean of the General Extension Division at the University of Florida, the organization was originally formed to organize homecoming celebrations. Blue Key continues to manage the annual event.
