Originally composed for solo oboe and string quartet, 1973-74 and first performed in Philadelphia 12 October 1975, National Association for American Composers and Conductors, Dorothy Stone soloist. Transcribed for solo oboe and string orchestra and first performed Philadelphia, 26 January 1976, Mostovoy Soloists, Marc Mostovoy conductor, John DeLancie soloist.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
