In existence since 1930, the Associates of the Harvard Business School was an group of individuals and corporations affiliated with the School for the exchange of experience, research, and ideas. Originally established in February 1930 as the Two Hundred Fifty Associates of the Harvard Business School, an organization permanently limited to 250 individuals, the Associates was reorganized in December of 1943 under the title of the Associates of the Harvard Business School. The purpose of the reorganization was to open membership to businesses as well as individuals, and to provide a more direct return to members for their financial support.
