In 1946 he was appointed to the faculty at Edinboro State Teachers College, eventually becoming chair of the school's Department of Education. He became acting President of Edinboro State College in March 1966 after the death of acting president Harry W. Earlley. He served in that capacity until September 1966 when Chester T.
