Biographical History
The Four Corners Regional Commission was established in 1966 by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce under Title V of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965. The Commission was a federal-state partnership designated to foster economic growth in a 92-county region composed of parts of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. The Commission was terminated on September 30, 1981, with the formation of the Council of Four Corners Governors, Inc.
