Simon Brolasky was a dry-goods merchant who acquired substantial rental properties. Simon's son, Henry Connelly Brolasky, who was also engaged in the dry-goods business, eventually established a real estate office and looked after his father's property. Howell de Coursey Brolasky, Henry's son, was a fabric salesman/representative for Lee Brothers and Company, Philadelphia, then for Brigg, Enty, and Company, NY, as its Philadelphia agent.
