Composed in honor of the opening of a new building at Morley College, London. Composed 1973. First performance Morley College, London, 5 December 1973, Morley College Symphony Orchestra, Guy Woolfenden conductor. Revised 1974.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
Commissioned for the Norfolk Youth Orchestra by Emyr Evans, Senior Music Advisor to Norfolk County Council, with the help of funds provided by Eastern Arts Association. First performed by the Norfolk Youth Orchestra, conducted by Lawrence Leonard, 25 July, 1979, St. Andrews Hall, Norwich.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
