Biographical History

Francis Nicholson and Samuel Vetch were actively engaged in the military conquest of Nova Scotia during Queen Anne's War, 1702-1713.

During the spring of 1709 a joint attack against Port Royal, Nova Scotia was proposed, but the expedition was aborted due to the lack of sufficient supplies and troops.
