Biographical History
Froelich Rainey was Director of the University of Pennyslvania Museum and Applied Center for Archaeology and was a professor of anthropology at the University of Alaska from 1933-1947. His archaeological research in Alaska was among the earliest to support the theory that the first North American settlers crossed from Asia by way ot the Bering Strait.
