Biographical History

Mormon leader Charles Coulson Rich (1809-1883) was president of the Salt Lake Stake, was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and served as president of the British Mission in the 1860s. He married six plural wives, including Sarah DeArmon Pea Rich (1814-1893). Their oldest daughter was Sarah Jane Rich Miller (1839-1926). Their oldest son, Joseph C. Rich (1841-1908), was an attorney who served as judge of the Fifth Judicial District of Idaho. His wife, Ann Eliza Hunter Rich (b. 1844), was the daughter of Edward Hunter (1793-1883), the third Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Ann Standley Hunter.
