Biographical History
Fjeldsted, born in Denmark, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1852 and moved to Utah in 1858, where he lived in both Sugar House and in Logan. Fjeldsted served multiple missions to Scandinavia and twice served as the Scandinavian Mission President. In 1897 he was called on a mission to Chicago, where he helped create a branch of mostly Scandinavian Saints. At one point he was ordained one of the First Seven Presidents of the Seventies.
