Biographical History

Albert L. and Emma E. Fairhurst owned and operated the Columbia Hotel in Ward, Colorado. Albert's father, Guy Fairhurst, moved to Colorado in 1859 and worked as a miner in Magnolia and elsewhere. Additional biographical information regarding the family can be found in the Boulder Genealogical Society Quarterly, Vol. 10, no. 2. Emma's niece Hazel Schmoll donated the collection.
