Meeting for evangelical African church leaders and missionaries in Nairobi, December 1976; grew out of of an informal meeting of African leaders at the 1974 International Congress on World Evangelization held at Lausanne, Switzerland; attended by 737 delegates from 48 countries; convened to plan for the needs and opportunities of the growing Christian church in Africa on a continental scale; proceedings published as TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE; a one day Billy Graham evangelistic rally was held after the meeting; assembly was one of a series of regional meetings that followed the 1974 Lausanne Congress.
