Biographical History

Morris Rea Paul was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 18, 1895, the son of Dana Paul and Grace Rea. His grandmother, Julia W. Rea, and two aunts, Harriet L. Rea and Adele Rea ("Dell"), lived with the Paul family in Brockton, Massachusetts, in the early 20th century. In 1917, Paul volunteered as a driver for the American Ambulance Field Service (later the American Field Service), which was transferred to the jurisdiction of the United States Army in August 1918. From July 1917-March 1919, he served in France and Germany; his unit, part of the 3rd Army, participated in multiple military engagements. After the war, Paul returned to Brockton. Morris Rea Paul died in Florida on January 14, 1970.
